6/6/16 — Thank you, Cummings Foundation: BHI Wins "$100K for 100" Grant

Your grant will allow us to set up an in-house shop to refurbish gently used biomedical and lab equipment, donated by area hospitals, that is in need of repair. (Currently, we can accept only working equipment.) With our own box truck, we will also be able to pick up more non-medical donations, such as construction materials and furnishings, from area corporations.

Once ready, the equipment will be installed at sites our partners manage in Haiti and other impoverished countries, where the need for modern medical technology is huge and the benefit to medical staff and patients, long lasting.

BHI and our colleagues in this new effort — Partners in Health and St. Boniface Haiti Foundation — are excited by the promise this model holds. We are also extremely grateful.
