As 2019 draws to a close, Build Health International is celebrating 5 years of impact – designing, building and equipping dignified spaces for care so clinicians can work at their full potential and focus on what matters most: providing lifesaving care to those who need it.

On this important milestone, we are excited to share with you BHI’s first ever annual report, which will take you through the evolution of our work, highlighting some of our most significant projects. BHI’s journey began in the wake of the 2010 Haiti earthquake, which took the lives of over 300,000 people and destroyed the country’s already-fragile health infrastructure. The lessons that BHI co-founders Jim Ansara and Dr. David Walton learned building Hôpital Universitaire de Mirebalais in the wake of the earthquake continue to inform our work and values to this day.

From building one hospital in Haiti, we have grown to serve over 40 health facilities in 19 countries across Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa. Resilient health systems start with strong infrastructure. We remain steadfast in our commitment to bringing quality healthcare to those who need it most. Please click button below to learn more.
