Job Title: Development Intern
Location: Beverly, MA (with flexibility for remote work)

Job Description

Build Health International promotes global equity by developing high-quality health infrastructure to enable access to dignified and affordable healthcare in resource-constrained regions of the world.

BHI is looking for a motivated, organized college junior or senior interested in global health, nonprofit management, and/or social justice to support the Development and Communications teams with a paid internship. Time commitment negotiable, depending on availability and course load, most likely 15 hours per week. 

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Google Drive, PowerPoint preferred, and knowledge of social media and web applications (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, MailChimp, etc.) are a plus. Marketing and communication skills will be beneficial as it develops collateral for donors, partners, and supporters.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with donation entry, tracking donor engagement, and updating thank you letters
  • Organize existing prospect research data and conduct prospect research on potential donors, strategic partners, markets and industries
  • Draft donor appeals, proofread proposals and other correspondence
  • Support implementation of new CRM with Development lead
  • Brainstorm and contribute to development of fundraising campaign with Development lead
  • Support grants management and implementation as needed

Location: Development Intern will be based at the BHI office in Beverly, Massachusetts with the flexibility to work
remotely.

Compensation:  Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
