Build Health International (BHI) has a unique opportunity for a bright, motivated, and hands-on Job Cost Accountant.

In order to support our expanding portfolio of design-build projects, we are seeking an ambitious and compassionate Senior Job Cost Accountant to join our team. In the role  the candidate will support and collaborate closely with the all the different departments including Finance, Architecture, Engineering, Construction and External Relations teams.


  • Design, evaluate and modify job costing processes to ensure “best practice” is in place for Build Health International. 
  • Drive the job costing, cost to complete, change order and billing process.
  • Prepare and post monthly revenue over and under adjustments.
  • Produce monthly reporting for all projects.
  • Support and collaborate with the Construction and A&E Team located in the many countries we are working in across South America, the Caribbean and sub-Saharan Africa. 
  • Participate in budget preparation and review for all new projects. 
  • Enter and maintain all project information in the financial system, including projects set-up, budgets and progress billing. 
  • Participate in cash and financial forecasting
  • Perform other assignments as needed to meet company objectives.


  • 3+ years of most recent previous experience in construction job cost accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting  / finance.
  • Non-Profit experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with diverse individuals.
  • Demonstrated interest of current and emerging issues in global health or international development.
  • Involvement in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) initiatives with a variety of stakeholders. 
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally to project sites.
  • Fluency in English, and proficiency in other languages a plus. 

Location:  The Position will be based at the BHI office in Beverly, Massachusetts. Some travel may be required when conditions allow.

Compensation:  Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
